Latest Information AnDel Models specialises in producing a selection of garden rail rolling stock, locomotives and accessories to 16mm scale in SM32 and SM45 gauge. We also provide a selection of products from other manufacturers, such as Roundhouse, for live steam, and Miniature Scale Models, for working lampposts. We also have a selection of modelling tools and accessories.
The kits and locomotives produced by AnDel Models follow a unique in-house design. These are moulded and cast using high quality Polyurethane resin, with a variety of fillers and pigments which provide a pre-coloured and robust model with only detail painting required. All AnDel’s models are suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Kit assembly is straightforward with easy-to-follow instructions and include wheels and couplings: all that is required is glue, (a range of which we provide). Models are quick to build in comparison to a traditional wooden kit. A film by Zach Bond on the Video Library page shows him building one of the AnDel Models kits. The Model is based on the First world war locomotives that were provided for the front line work. The prototype shown is in the early Ffestiniog railway form with the fuel tank located on top of the gearbox housing; this was before conversion to a 2-4-0, in 1957, by the addition of a front pony truck. The Model will be supplied in a choice of either War Dept, or early F.R. Moelwyn and a choice of colours. The R.C version of the model will be fitted with an AnDel Models specification UltraRad Radio Control system. The model uses an AnDel Models Chassis powered by an M.F.A. motor with four wheel chain drive as standard. Power for the model is provided by a NiMh battery pack giving around 4 hrs running. The package is complete with a mains charger for the loco battery pack. The Price will be £450 for the Radio Controlled version and £300 for the manual speed controlled version. | Events Diary 2010AnDel Models will be at the following Trade Shows- February
